The Vision That Began in 1968
Late Shri D.C. Goel laid the foundation of Kakda Group after moving from Muzaffarnagar to Bhopal in 1968 and rebuilding the family’s future from the ground up.
Drawing from earlier family experience in brick kilns, excavation and crusher operations, he established a rolling mill in Madhya Pradesh around 1969–70. The venture served the region’s growing steel demand and was recognised among the state’s early rolling mills.
His journey established more than an industrial business. It created a culture of self-reliance, perseverance and enterprise that remains central to Kakda Group today.

Carrying the Foundation Into a New Era
Late Shri Yuvraj Goel carried the family enterprise forward and expanded its capabilities beyond its original industrial roots. His business journey included the establishment of Himanshu Flour Mill in 1988, crusher operations, property development and civil construction.
A defining chapter came through the construction of the main building of Bhopal Memorial Hospital. The project was taken up in 1997 and completed in 1998, with the principal structure reportedly delivered within a demanding three-month period without ready-mix concrete or conventional scaffolding.
His practical leadership and willingness to take on challenging work helped establish the foundations for the group’s later growth across construction, real estate and diversified assets.
